This page explains how to close accounts on RestoMama for restaurants, which includes RestoMama Admin on the web and the "RestoMama Admin" Android app, and RestoMama Displays. It covers three cases: a staff member's account, an owner's account, and a restaurant's whole account. It also explains what Priority Queues Private Limited ("we", "us") deletes, what we have to keep, for how long, and why.

If you use the RestoMama marketplace app to order food, or you deliver with RestoMama Courier, see the account deletion page for that app instead. All our policies are published at https://www.restomama.com/policies/.

1. How to make a request

Except for deactivating a staff member (section 2.1), closing an account or deleting data is done by our team on request. There is no self-service delete button in RestoMama Admin.

Email admin@priorityqueues.com with:

Please send the request from the email address registered on the account. To protect you, we will verify that the request comes from you before we act, for example by calling or messaging the mobile number registered on the account. A request to close a restaurant's whole account must come from an owner of that restaurant.

We acknowledge requests within 24 hours and act on them within 15 days. Deletion of a restaurant's whole account follows the timeline in section 4.3.

2. A staff member's account

2.1 Stopping access

A staff account belongs to the restaurant that created it. An owner, or any User with staff-management permission, can deactivate a staff member in RestoMama Admin by opening the staff member's profile and choosing Deactivate. The staff member is signed out on every device immediately and cannot sign in again. Nobody can deactivate their own account.

Deactivation does not delete anything. The staff member's profile, documents and history stay in the restaurant's account, because they are the restaurant's employment records. The restaurant can reactivate the account later, unless the staff member's sign-in details have been deleted under section 2.2.

2.2 Deleting a staff member's data

Your employer is responsible for your employment records, such as attendance, wages, payroll, cash advances, documents and notes, and decides how long to keep them, as the law allows or requires. To have those records deleted, ask your employer.

You can also ask us directly to delete your account by emailing admin@priorityqueues.com; we do not need your employer's agreement. Within 15 days we deactivate your staff account, tell your employer, delete your password, and delete any other personal data we hold about you for our own purposes, except the records described in section 5. We keep your name and the mobile number and email address you sign in with for 180 days after your account is deactivated, as the law requires, and then delete them. Your employment records belong to your employer, and we deal with them as your employer instructs us.

3. An owner's account

An owner is a User with full control of a restaurant's account. An owner cannot deactivate their own account.

4. A restaurant's whole account

4.1 Before you ask us to close it

4.2 What happens when we close it

When we close your restaurant's account:

4.3 Getting your data, and deletion

For 30 days after your account is closed ("export period"), you may ask us for a copy of your restaurant's data, and we will provide it in CSV or another commonly used machine-readable format.

After the export period, we delete your restaurant's data or make it anonymous within 90 days, unless you instruct us otherwise in writing. This includes your menus, orders, customer records, staff records, documents, files and settings, your paired screens, and the accounts of all your Users, except the records described in section 5.

Your own legal duty to keep your sales, tax and accounting records, for example under section 36 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, stays with you. Download what you need before the export period ends. We do not keep your records for you after deletion.

4.4 Bank and KYC details held by the payment provider

If your restaurant used split settlement, the payment provider holds the bank and KYC details we passed to it. We will ask the payment provider to deactivate your account with it. The payment provider keeps its own records under its own legal obligations.

5. What we keep, and why

Even after we delete an account, we keep the following, only for as long as stated, and use it only for that reason:

What we keepWhy, and for how long

We delete them after that
Records of sign-ins, sign-in codes and changes made in RestoMamaWhile the restaurant's account exists, because they are its record of who changed what, and for 180 days after it closes, as the CERT-In Directions of 28 April 2022 require. From 13 May 2027, we also keep each record for at least one year from the activity it records, as the DPDP Rules, 2025 (rule 8(3)) require. We delete them after that

Deleted data may remain in backup copies kept by our hosting and storage providers until those copies expire or are overwritten under their backup schedules. We do not restore deleted data from backups into our live systems, except to recover from a failure, in which case we delete it again.

6. Applicants and enquirers

If you applied to join RestoMama, or sent us an enquiry, and you want us to delete your details, email admin@priorityqueues.com, either from the email address you gave us or with the mobile number you gave us, so that we can verify the request by calling or messaging that number. If your application was approved, your details are part of your restaurant's account and section 4 applies. Otherwise we delete your application or enquiry, including any documents you uploaded, except the records described in section 5. Our Merchant Privacy Policy explains how long we keep applications and enquiries if you do not ask us to delete them.

7. Restaurant customers

If you are a customer of a restaurant that uses RestoMama and want your data deleted, contact that restaurant. Its contact details and grievance officer are shown on its ordering website. The restaurant decides what happens to your data, and we act on its instructions. If you ordered through the RestoMama marketplace, see the RestoMama marketplace account deletion page.
